Workflow Solutions PatientVu Drug Screening
Highlights

Highlights:

  • A drug screen scanner with direct integration with PatientVu improves data quality of patients’ test results and streamlines workflow for high-capacity treatment centers.
  • The Lateral Flow Scanner is intended for and compatible with Rapid Response® Multi-Drug Tests: One Step Cups (Flat), Saliva Test Cups, and Test Panels.
  • Using AI technology to automatically extract and input data into your PatientVu EMR system from drug test results images reduces manual efforts and errors.

The Rapid Response Lateral Flow Scanner is a revolutionary workflow solution redefining the approach to drug screen reporting in treatment centers. Automate data entry, record results of up to 3 patients’ drug screen tests, and swiftly transmit their results to your PatientVu’s electronic medical record system (EMR).

Reduce administrative burden with simplified workflow.

The intuitive scanning process minimizes user training and simplifies daily operations. The system uses the already existing PatientVu’s label system. Automating drug screen results data entry reduces the amount of time staff spend entering data. This frees up staff to focus on more important patient-facing tasks.

Increased efficiency and speed.

Key features of incorporating the Lateral Flow Scanner into your workflow and testing process:

  • Scan 1 to 3 tests simultaneously: Scan up to 3 tests, whether they are the same or different, and upload results in just 2 minutes. This significant increases testing efficiency and save staff time.
  • Automated documentation: Rapid QR code scanning and automated result transmission drastically reduce processing time. Process more patient samples in less time, improving clinic throughput.
  • Improved record-keeping: Keep a record of test results with images within PatientVu for easy access and review. Maintain a comprehensive patient history for better informed treatment decisions.
  • Enhanced patient care: Faster result availability for quicker treatment decisions and improved patient care. More accurate and organized data helps provide better patient care.
  • Seamless integration with PatientVu: Eliminate manual data entry and streamline your workflow with direct integration into your existing PatientVu EMR. Results are automatically populated within patient profiles, saving time and reducing errors.
How it works
  1. Patient selection: Within the PatientVu EMR system, select the patient to be tested.
  2. Sample submission initiation: Select the “Submit Sample” action in PatientVu from your Day Sheet.
  3. Panel Selection: Select BTNX drug test panel/dip (combination of drugs being tested) to be used.
  4. QR code label generation: The PatientVu system automatically generates a unique QR code printed by the Zebra Label Printer. Attach it to the patient’s drug test.
Repeat Steps 1-4 for up to two additional patients.
  5. Collect sample: Follow the instructions provided with your drug tests to collect your sample.
  6. LFS Scanner activation: Open the LFS RRScanner® desktop app and load the physical scanner with up to 3 panels. QR codes and drug tests are automatically scanned and the corresponding results are directly uploaded to PatientVu.
The scanner will use AI to interpret the results of each test for the operator to review, confirm, and change if needed.
The software creates a PDF with results and images for each test. Print, attach it to the patient’s file, or automatically upload it to your PatientVu EMR system, if integrated.
  7. Result Recording: Test results and images are displayed in each patient’s chart under the ‘Samples’ section.
  8. Result Review (Optional): Authorized users can review the test results and images within the PatientVu system. The uploaded results can be edited if needed.
