- Effectiveness with Proper Use: When instructions are closely followed, BTNX’s Rapid Response Medetomidine Test Strips are an effective tool for detecting medetomidine in the trace amounts that are circulating in Ontario’s unregulated drug supply.

It is important to recognize that no drug checking tool or technology is perfect as they all have limitations and trade-offs in ease of use, accuracy, result turnaround time, and cost. Service providers should recognize these limitations and clearly communicate them to service users to ensure safe, informed decision-making.
